Second Days: Keynote opening
with Author Ajit Jaokar and Chiefs from Intel, Telekom,
Qualcomm, Wireless Expertise
Ajit Jaokar, founder of the London research institute
and publishing house Futuretext, opens the keynote
session "Mobile Fragmentation: Yet another
OS, Browser and App Store on the Mobile Market?"
on the second day. Jaokar is a highly respected
commentator and author of the book "Open Mobile:
Understanding the Impact of Open Mobile". Also
contributing to the panel is Wolfgang Petersen,
director developer relations division Europe, Middle
East and Africa, Intel Corporation. He is responsible
for developing and managing Intel’s DRD strategy
and programs across EMEA mature and emerging markets.
Colm Healy, vice president of Qualcomm (UK), speaks
on the topic “Mobile Applications –
Beyond the First Wave” and Anuj Khanna, founder
& CEO of Wireless Expertise Ltd (UK), presents
the study “The Future of Mobile Application
Storefronts”. Dr Rainer Deutschmann, senior
vice president mobile products, Deutsche Telekom
AG, provides input on mobile communication around
the world. The panel is moderated by Mark Wächter,
managing director of MWC.mobi and MMA Global Board
of Directors & chairman BVDW Section Mobile.

The first highlight of the congress will be the
keynote of an authority in digital measurement,
Gian Fulgoni from Chicago, co-founder of comScore
Inc., dealing with “The Mobile Media Ecosystem –
How Mobile is Changing the Game”. The panel "Mobile
Advertising" opens with the key speech of Tom
Bowman, Vice President BCC worldwide. Industry representatives
such as Kerstin Trikalitis, managing director, Out
There Media, Mark Davies, marketing manager, Southend
United Football Club, Michael Schade, managing director,
Fishlab Entertainment, and a representative of Ogilvy
UK will share their experience and expertise with
the audience.
International speakers from enterprises
such as Qualcomm (UK), Rubberduck Media Lab (Norway),
Intel Corporation, Futuretext, Southend United Football
Club (UK), BBC worldwide (UK), Out There Media (US),

the M-Days
For
the first time, a MobileMonday happens in the frame
of the M-Days on Thursday in terms of the partnership
with the MobileMonday Assosiation. The MobileMonday
Demo Night@M-Days on January 28th shows and awards
LIVE on the fair stage the best applications. If

Mobile Stats: Mobile Media Rocks!
According
to the latest data, the use of social networking
services by mobile users has increased by almost
139* percent compared to last year. Stimulated by
the introduction of the iPhone, digital media consumption
on mobile devices has increased by 17* percent.
Not only Apple, but also Microsoft, Nokia and Samsung
are driving this development. The mobile games and
mobile internet sectors also profit from these trends.
„M-Days – The Home of MOBILE“,
the largest congress trade fair of its kind in Central
Europe, will take up these topics and give the starting
signal for the coming mobile year on 28th and 29th
January 2010 at the BMW Welt in Munich. Subjects
like mobile media, mobile content, mobile entertainment
or location-based services (LBS) as well as aspects
like “business solutions, applications and
development” will also provide fuel for discussions.
M-Days 2010: Samsung, HTC, Vodafone, Qualcomm, YOC,
EPlus group, Cellular and many more will participate.

The congress
topics are chosen by the council: Applications,
LBS, mobile devices and business solutions / usability
are in the focus Call for papers decisions will
be published until november 11th 2009
The
congress council is grateful for the numerious submissions
of Call for Papers and introduces the topics of
2010. Wolfgang Kasper, the chairman of the congress
council: “We are very glad about the understanding
of the branch, that their customers can support
their cause. So, we can be very excited to see what
the M-Days 2010 have in stock for us!”
For the first time, the topics applications, devices,
mobility (automotive) and usability are moving to
the front more prominently. The international part
of the M-Days will also not be missed out. Herefore,
many partners and international personalities could
be gained.

Developers get their own forum
Under the roof of the BMW Welt, a new congress
series for the software publishers and developers
is presented: New generations of devices, wisdoms
from the mobile store as well as system integration
and business solutions topics will be presented
for the participants with well-founded knowledge
and helpful information.

M-Days Congress counsil is
newly formed
Internationalization in the focus
The
organizer of the M-Days succeeded to win further
four congress council members and to increase
the team up to eight members. To increas the reach
of the M-Days and its topics and to hasten the
internationalization, the single council members
will be responsible for one special topic. The
new members are: Harald Neidhardt, Smaato, is
responsible for the area of UK and US, Harald
Winkelhofer, IQ Mobile for the Eastern European
topics. For the support of the Central European
and the Alps Area, Roland Tauchner, MMA Austria,
is ready to contribute from his rich store of
experience. Wolfgang Kasper stays the chairman
of the council, Olaf A. Waschkies designs the
focus of national topics and Mark Wächter
is responsible for the entire European area.
